OUR CURRICULUM

Our curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each child through a hands-on, play-based approach. Educators guide the children into a world of discovery through intentional teaching, and ensure that children’s intellectual, social, emotional, physical, aesthetic skills are developed through small group and age appropriate experiences.

Belonging, Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (ELYF) is the curriculum framework that guides our educators in developing quality, early childhood education programs. It sets out principles, practices and outcomes that ensure quality teaching and learning outcomes for each child are met. These outcomes cover all developmental areas for young children through to their transition to formal schooling.

  • Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity

  • Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world

  • Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing

  • Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners

  • Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators

At Jelly Beings, we recognize the need for each child to develop at their own pace, focus on building relationships and working in partnership with families and provide a balance of active and quiet experiences and indoor and outdoor ones to foster learning. Learning experiences include:

  • Social skills/ independence, confidence, self esteem

  • Creative Arts – Music, Drama, Visual Arts

  • Science/exploration

  • Maths/number

  • Language/literacy, communication

  • Physical education/fundamental movement skills, outdoor games

These activities are based around children’s choices, current interest, skill levels and family input. We ensure that the experiences are not only educational but also fun and inviting for them.

We look forward to working with you to provide the best to our children

and help them develop to their full potential!
